Art for art's sake

Art for art's sake was the theme when Altrincham Preparatory School staged an exhibition of all their pupils' work.

The mass participation event saw every boys from the Nursery to Year 6 produce their own special masterpiece, which was then framed and hung in an exhibition for parents, relatives and friends.

APS Head of Art and Design, Alison Woodage, said: "This type of event raises each child's self esteem and the desire to do their best and it inspires them to approach their work creatively and confidently."
