Teddy Bears' Picnic
If you went down to Altrincham Preparatory School you would be sure of a big surprise as the Nursery boys held their own Teddy Bears' Picnic.
Some big, some small, some yellow, some brown - some even borrowed from their dads, every three year-old in the APS Nursery brought in their own most treasured possession.
The event raised money for Tommy’s Babies, which funds research into ensuring healthy pregnancies and was organised by APS Nursery Teacher Christianne Chappell, who said:
“Modern toys might whiz, bang and flash, but there is no substitute for a good old-fashioned teddy bear. As well as raising money for the fabulous work undertaken by Tommy’s Babies, the APS Teddy Bear’s Picnic also complemented our current theme of traditional story telling with boys enjoying Goldilocks and the Three Bears, among many other wonderful tales.”
