Harvest at APS

With farmers all over Britain struggling to gather this country's worst harvest for 40 years, the traditional Harvest Festival was all the more significant at Altrincham Preparatory School.

Boys devised their own celebrations centred around the need to recycle natural materials to ensure more bountiful harvests for future generations to come.

Altrincham Preparatory School Headmaster Andrew Potts said: "In an age when much of our food arrives pre-packaged and ready processed it is important for the boys to remember where our food actually comes." After the Festival the goods were taken to the Wood Street Mission in Manchester.
