APS Pupils Mark Armistice Day - Nov 2011

Altrincham Preparatory School honoured our military heroes at a special school service at St. Mary’s Church Bowdon on Armistice Day.

School Bursar Andrew Jones, who played the Last Post on the bugle, said: “It was a privilege to be part of this very moving ceremony. Our boys had made their own wreaths and written poems in memory of the fallen. ”

Mr Jones added: “I have been playing the bugle since I was the same age as these boys and, perhaps, have never played a more poignant and moving tribute. ”
