Year 4 visit Winmarleigh Hall in Lancashire every year for a 2 night residential.

Diary

Wednesday - Lots of tired eyes to day and having to go around the rooms waking the little darlings! But after another hearty breakfast the boys were ready for an exciting finish to our stay. Quite a few sniffles and sneezes and sore eyes but all the                                boys raring to get involved again.

Rooms were cleared, bags were packed and we were off and running again; detecting, roboteering and animating for the last time.

Lunch to come and then the coach ride home, usual pick up at 3.30pm please!

Tuesday - up and about after a good night's sleep. (Only 1 room was awake early on Tuesday (along with Mr Sheppeck)). A hearty breakfast had by all and on to activities.

So, well fuelled, we hit the IT trail; with some boys coding, others animating and others still doing some forensic detecting.

Lunchtime today brought more fun on the field (rounders and football) and the afternoon gave the boys chance to try some of the activities they had not done in the morning sessions.

We will be back tiring the boys out on the field before dinner and afterwards hunting for clues in the 'Passport to the World' game before some diary writing and bed tonight (with tired out boys again, hopefully).

Monday - arrived safely!

We will endeavour to update this page with pictures and text each day.

The afternoon is being spent quad biking along with adventures on the 'giant swing'.

Both the quad biking and giant swing were 'EPIC!' (in boy-speak) and, although they caused a few nerves initially amongst the boys there was a great deal of enjoyment, with the boys bursting to have second and third goes and going                           higher and higher on the swing.

Dinner was hearty and filling and set the boys up for their evening activity, which was a wild combination of capture the flag and relay racing games (along with a spot of football). Following this many boys stated that they needed their                           beds! And so it was showers, PJs, diary writing and thence to kip (with not much noise post lights out, parents will be surprised to hear).
