The Year 2 boys had a fantastic hands-on morning as wildlife detectives learning about the plants and animals in the park. The activities included tree art (making tree pictures using foliage) and measuring the height of trees. The bug hunt proved particularly interesting as the boys were encouraged to look under deadwood for insects. Many species were collected and observed using bug pots and magnifying glasses. The boys also tracked and observed the herd of fallow deer, finding rabbit warrens, fox holes and molehills along the way.
