Year 2 had a super trip to Blue Planet Aquarium, supporting their science work on life processes and habitats.
We explored the sea life of the tropics, the northern shores and the open ocean, seeing everything from clown fish and seahorses to sharks and a crocodile (who remained so still the boys were convinced it was a plastic model!).
The aquarium show was a highlight, as we watched the stingrays have their breakfast while the divers stayed away from the resident sharks!
Thanks to Donovan and Sam from Blue Planet, who taught us all about starfish (and their incredible ability to regrow limbs), the terrifying number of teeth that sharks have and the busy habitats of rock pools.
An excellent trip with lots of fascinated boys - many thanks to the super parents who came along to support the trip.
