On 4th October, Year 3 went back in time to the fortress at Dewa (or Chester as we now know it). They were enlisted into the Roman army where they were taught to march in lines to the ampthitheatre. Here they were drilled and taught formations to defeat the deadly Celts. Back at the Grosvenor Museum, the boys handled artefacts in the Roman workshop, dressed up as slaves or Romans and solved activities and puzzles. Finally, after a well-earned lunch, they explored the galleries, completing quiz sheets as they went. A great time was had by all, bringing to life the history work studied in class.
