What an excting day it has been!
We have now decide what experiments to send skywards in our balloon - we have chosen to include on our launch a grape, a battery, a sponge, cress seeds, a sachet of sauce and an egg! It will be fascinating to see what effect space has on these items.
Our mission patch was chosen today by Mr. Whittaker, which will be on our balloon - Tom's design was selected to represent our mission. Well done, Tom.
The whole of the Prep department assembled on the field to watch our tethered trail balloon launch, which was a huge success - there was an awful lot of excitement! ITV even sent along a couple of Granada Reports journalists to cover this event, who also interviewed some of the boys.
We cannot wait until our official launce tomorrow on which we will be sending many APS faces into near space!
