In preparation for next half term's Science work about healthy living, Year Two visited the 'Eureka!' museum in Halifax. We experienced a whole range of activities from role playing in a house, a garage and a post office, to washing a car, driving a truck and charging an electric vehicle. We also shopped in Marks and Spencer and banked in the Halifax, taking money out of the cash machine and checking the security cameras. To support our learning for next half term we experimented with our bodies, seeing how quickly we could move and the effect that exercise has on our bodies. We thought about healthy diets that benefit our bodies.. and our teeth! We also learned about our senses and the uniqueness of our bodies. The boys had a fantastic day and came back with lots of highlights from the trip, one in particular being watching Archimedes falling into the bath when he had his 'Eureka!' moment! A great day was had by all!
