Glaramara Outdoor Centre is situated in the village of Seatoller in the Borrowdale valley, at the heart of the English Lake District. It is ideally located for the variety of outdoor activities in which our Year 5 boys participate during our 3 day residential.
What a glorious day here in the Borrowdale Valley. We have had a busy afternoon with our activities and went on a treasure hunt this evening. All the boys are tucked up in bed and sound asleep.
Good morning from Glaramara. The sun is shining, we have eaten a hearty breakfast and are just about to head out to either climb, ghyll scramble or canoe.
After a picnic lunch and a quick break, we have ventured off site to our afternoon activities. One group is canoeing on Derwent Water, another group is battling up Honister Ghyll, the walking group have gone to conquer Castle Crag and the climbers are off to scale new heights.
Big rounders tournament was this evenings activity. We have been to the tuckshop and are now packing our bags to come home tomorrow.
The sun is out again and we are setting off on our final activities. There are quite a few tired boys this morning!!
A beautiful morning on the hills for two groups, abseiling and canoeing for the other two groups.
A fabulous trip to the Lake District - well done, Year 5!
