In Year 1 we like to make learning really fun, so quite often we eat our work!
We are learning how to collect data and use this data to create pictograms and then
answer questions. It all starts with a plate of biscuits and a story called ‘Biscuit Bear’.
First, you need to
decide which is your
favourite biscuit and eat
it just to make sure!
Will it be a ....jammy ring
or a chocolaty bourbon
or perhaps a little iced
gem?
Next we had a vote and found
out how many boys liked which
biscuit the best! We tried to do a
‘
tally chart’ as well which is
helping us count in 5’s!
And then...you have to answer
a question from the pictogram
to have another biscuit...just
to make sure you really do
like it!
