My Favourite Moment at APS

Glaramara , in Year 5, is my most memorable time at APS.
I remember walking down the old wooden staircase each morning and smelling the
delicious bacon and eggs that awaited us. The dining room had 5 tables, all gleaming
and piled high with food. The rooms were quite small but very comfy – and I slept
soundly!
We did four different activities at Glaramara – canoeing, rock climbing, ghyll scrambling and hill walking.
My favourite was most definitely ghyll scrambling!!! Although the water was absolutely freezing, and it
was quite scary, I loved diving into the icy water – even though my eyes stung afterwards. We also did
evening activities such as rounders and quizzes.
The only downside of the Glaramara trip was having to leave. I
really really
enjoyed Glaramara – and I
would rate it ten out of ten – a fabulous trip, and one I will never forget!

One of my favourite memories from my time at APS is the Year 6 play.
We have performed the play Treasure Island – it was such a huge suc-
cess. We had been working extremely hard for such a long time, but
bit by bit we placed it all together like a huge jigsaw puzzle. Everyone
learned their individual lines and songs – it could not have happened
without every boy pulling together, working as one big team.
Finally performance time arrived and we had produced an amazing
show. Everyone enjoyed it – it showed off our singing and acting. I
really enjoyed my role in the play. We owe our thanks to Mr Pearson.
This is a memory I know that will stay with me forever!
