Christmas decorating at APS

Mother and son Elinor and Zac Chohan began their preparations for Christmas by making a tree decoration designed to last a life-time. Mums and dads were invited into Altrincham Preparatory School's Infant Department to work on a one to one basis with their sons.

Mum Elinor said: "I think it is an absolutely fabulous idea. Zac loves working with me on any project and to be able to produce such a pretty decoration really helped build his confidence."

APS Early Years Coordinator Sara Makepeace-Taylor said: "The partnership between home and school is vital in early years education and we want parents to see how we work in class." Sara added: "In years to come we hope these little birds will be taken out of the Christmas decorations box and will remind mother and son of a lovely day working together."
