Registration Form and Prospectus Information

Overview

Choosing the right school for your son is one of the most important decisions that you will make as a parent and we are here to support and guide you through the process. The main entry points for boys to join the APS Family are Nursery at the age of 2+ at the 1st September, Pre-School at the age of 3+ at the 1st September and Reception at age 4+ at the 1st September. To register interest for a place at APS for your son, please complete the following pre-registration form or call the school office:

https://enquiries.schoolbase.online/?dname=AltrinchamPrep

Our admissions team will contact you shortly after and send you a Registration Form and our prospectus information.

Upon receipt of the completed Registration Form and £50 Registration Fee, we will add your son’s name to the list of prospective entrants for that age group. You will receive acknowledgement of this. Approximately 9-12 months prior to your son’s proposed entry, and in the order that the applications have been received, we will invite you to meet our Headmaster and organise a visit to our school where we will show you around and discuss entry for your son. Our admissions team will be available to support you through the process from initial enquiry to welcoming your son to APS with open arms.

Entry at all other ages

Vacancies for other year groups do arise and the admissions process is the same as for our younger boys with the addition of an assessment that is carried out when your son spends a morning or afternoon at APS. We will advise you of the outcome of the assessment as soon as possible. If it is the case, a formal offer of a place is made in writing with the place being secured with the payment of £500 deposit and the return of the signed Acceptance Form. Additionally, your son’s current school is contacted for a reference and confirmation that all fees, including fees in lieu of notice, have been settled (when this applies). The deposit is returned when your son leaves the school.

We have availability for all year groups for the 2023/2024 academic year and if this is something you would like to discuss further, contact Amanda White our Admissions Registrar on 0161 928 3366

APS is committed to broadening access to the school by offering a small number of means-tested bursaries to provide financial support towards the payment of school fees. For further information, please visit our 'Policies and Information' pages : https://www.altprep.co.uk/policies
