The APS Society
The APS Parents' Society has been supporting the school for many years, raising significant sums of money through events and fundraisers to buy equipment, experiences and activities to benefit the boys during their years at APS, as well as to support several charities.
The society has three key aims:
- To develop and deliver a programme of events throughout the school year in which pupils, parents, guardians and teaching staff can participate in.
- To raise funds to help enrich the education and wellbeing of the boys in school through a wide variety of events, activities and experiences.
- To develop effective relationships between the staff, parents, guardians and others involved in the school.
Committee 2025/26
Co-Chairs: Richard Sullivan, Rachel Ibbett, Rebecca Loudon, Victoria Mellor
Secretary: Charlotte Burgess-Green
Treasurer: Swapna Muthyapu
Membership
Membership of the society is open to any parents or guardians of our pupils and is supported by the Senior Management and teaching staff at the school. We encourage and welcome contributions from all parents and guardians – whether it is volunteering your time or contributing gifts or prizes for raffles and events.
How It Is Run
The Society meets at least once each term, typically on a Friday morning at the Marlborough Road site. Any parent or guardian is welcome to attend. A member of Senior Management also attends each meeting to act as the school liaison.
Each year group has two class reps who operate WhatsApp groups to share information and updates about the Society and general day-to-day reminders.
Ways To Get In Touch
To find out more about the Society please email chair@apssociety.org.uk or speak to your class rep or a committee member.

Over the last 12 months, the Society has able to invest in the following items and activities:
- Theatre trips
- New football goals
- Halloween activities, performers and disco
- Christmas Fair activities and performers
- Summer Fair activities and performers
- Assorted playtime games, craft materials and outdoor equipment for all years
