The Long Arm of the Law at APS - Feb 2011
The long arm of the law extended its reach to Altrincham Preparatory School when the Greater Manchester Police Community Liaison team made their presence felt.
Community Liaison Officer Sam Hodges with PCs Paul Grundy and Justin Read, told the infants about the role of the police and how they are always there to help.
Most exciting, however, was a demonstration of the special police van1s sirens and flashing blues lights, with some of the boys even going in the cage at the rear of the van.
Caroline Austen, Deputy Head at Altrincham Preparatory School, said: "It is vitally important for the young to feel that they can approach the Police and being allowed to play with the police van certainly helps establish a bond of trust. They all loved every second." APS Officer Felix is pictured with P. C. Justin Read.
