Mrs Webb's Cake Challenge- Dec 2011

Some may have been lucky enough to have been given a cake by Mrs Webb in the last few months whilst she bakes a cake every day for a whole year. Here, she tells APS Online why she started and what it is all about.

"I challenged myself to bake a cake everyday for one year to make someone smile. This was after I read an article which asked what each of us could do for others and I couldn't think of anything!

Then a very good friend was diagnosed with breast cancer and I took her a cake to lift her spirits and realised that this was something simple that I could do.

A lot of friends joined in on day 100 and also on day 200, just for the day, baking their own cake and giving it to someone to make them smile. 

The challenge is that I have to bake it on the day and give it on the day. I am keeping a diary which includes all of the texts, cards and emails of thanks and I also have a spreadsheet which I put peoples names in who want a cake or who want one to go to someone. The challenge will finish on April the 6th. "
