Assistant Head for KS1 Mrs Bacon writes: Come and join the Infants for their Open Afternoon on Thursday 22nd March from 1:30 to 3:15. As we like to make our learning as interactive and as fun as possible, we can't wait to share just a few activities with you! As it is such a busy afternoon, refreshments will be available from 2:15 to 2:30 with delicious treats loving made by the boys. These will be healthy goodies reflecting all we learned during our Science and Healthy Living Week.
Year I and 2 are focusing on Coding in their ICT lessons. Year 1 will be programming BeeBots and Blubots, taking them on amazing journeys around a variety of locations. You should come and have a go! Or perhaps try your hand with A.L.E.X. The Robot, writing algorithms and testing your skills against the Year 2 boys!
We shall also be going back into the past, making a Stone Age settlement with Year 2 whilst Year 1 will be working on their video diary, ready for Mrs. Bacon to take to our Year 1 friends who attend Dabolim and Oxdel schools in Goa.
The art room will be buzzing with activity under Mrs. Woodage's creative guidance, the Highbury Hall will be full of wonderful singing with Mr. Vowles and of course, Madame Hammond will be helping us to learn French.

You are welcome to participate in lessons and activities alongside the boys. You will see our boys thriving in their learning and embracing life as an APS boy. Across the site, there will be numerous hands-on, practical sessions which will allow you to experience the APS curriculum - Maths, English, Science, French, Music, Art, to name a few.
Our Year 6 boys will be on hand to conduct tours of the premises and to answer any questions you may have. The afternoon will also enable you to talk to other pupils, meet our staff and talk to the management team. To conclude the afternoon, the Junior and Senior choirs will perform whilst you enjoy some refreshments.
