4S visit to Ordsall Hall

Wednesday 8th October 2014

4S enjoyed a fantastic day immersed in Tudor life during their trip to Ordsall Hall in Salford. Actors took the role of real characters from the hall's Tudor past and presented the boys with a host learning experiences; from partaking of a Tudor feast, to finding out how a Tudor kitchen might work, to exploring how the noble lords and ladies of Tudor times might live and spend their days.

As always the most fascinating facts for the boys revolved around the most disgusting elements of life for those living in the reign of Elizabeth I (going to the toilet, having a bath once a year and what might float down the River Irwell were particular high points).

All the boys agreed that it was a great visit, fun and educational as well!
