The Year 5 football team became Altrincham Schools’ 5-a-
side Champions, The Y3 boys all had the chance to play Tag
rugby for the school and the Y4,5,6 swimming team enjoyed
a competitive gala against Cheadle Hulme which they lost by
just 2 points. Sean and Henry were the fastest freestyle
swimmers at the IAPS ‘ National Qualifies’ and all Y5/6 had a
really great inter house Swimming Gala at Altrincham
Leisure Centre.
At the APS Open Morning Year 2 fielded 3 teams at the Fun
football festival all thoroughly enjoying themselves and play-
ing some really good football. Ten Y1 boys enjoyed the
chance to go to the Manchester City Academy to play some
fun football and the 1st team footballers beat St Ambrose
just before the holidays to go forward to the final of the Al-
trincham Schools’ FA Cup.
Pre-School boys are developing their awareness of how their
bodies can move as well as starting off theor ball skills
Another great sporting term was rounded off with all the
Year 3 and 4 boys haviing the opportunity to play in a house
football tournament on the school pitches at Marlborough
Road and many of the Years 5 & 6 boys played inter-house
rugby, football and hockey.
We are looking forward to the good weather next term and
the variety of summer sports we can enjoy.
