ALTRINCHAM PREPARATORY SCHOOL
JULY 2013
FROM THE HEAD MASTER—
the conclusion to any academic year is accompanied both by looking back as we
celebrate and review all that has happened since September but also looking forward in eager anticipation to all the
challenges and changes that await. Members of staff take their farewell as they move on to new ventures—
Mr Pearson to further his peripatetic teaching away from the classroom demands; Mr Joyce-O’Keeffe, Mrs Skeldon
and Miss James to take up teaching roles in different settings. Along with Mrs. Munir, we wish them every success as
they open new chapters on their lives. They will all, in their individual unique ways be missed. Over the summer our
thoughts will turn towards sustaining our excellence whilst looking at the changes that will necessarily accompany
the improvements to our infra-structure as Bank Place opens for our Early Years. The extra space that this will afford
is brilliant and the excitement over the vision and quality of refurbishment is truly inspiring. Would I ever be drawn
into saying the summer months cannot pass with sufficient speed? Whatever your sentiments on this, I wish you all
a marvellous summer holiday accompanied with plenty of quality family time. I look forward to welcoming all on their
return in September 2013.
It was with great pleasure that we
welcomed Mr Jason Kenny OBE
and triple gold medallist as our
guest speaker for Speech Night.
We could not have been more
fortunate to have captured such a
modest, charming young man
from whom the boys can look up
to as role model. A perfect
example on how to achieve the highest
with the gifts you are endowed though
using all your determination and hard
work to succeed whilst remaining true
to oneself. What a privilege!
