What is the sun?
The sun is a ruby red fire
Flickering all through the
night.
It is a golden pyramid
Shimmering in the sun.
It is sticky crimson blood
Dripping from my arm.
It is pink grapes
From a waving vine in
France.
It is a maroon A.P.S.
blazer
That’s silky inside!

There was an old Viking I knew
Who loved his cabbages and stew
So when they ran out
He gave a great shout
And cried “Now what else can I
chew!”

I know my good friend called Finley
Would love to work up a chimney
But he’s stuck at A.P.S.
Where he does his best
And never answers back to Mr. Lingley!!

I went to my friend’s house called Mike
He let me go on his push bike
We went to play tennis
And Mike was a menace
So we decided to go on a hike!!

What is ... the sun?
The sun is a crimson clock
Chiming in the sky
The sun is a golden coin
Flipped into the summer’s sky
The sun is an orange bas-
ketball
Bounced high into the air
The sun is a yellow marble
Tossed into the sky
The sun is a fresh orange
Hanging in a beautiful tree.

What is the sun?
The sun is a yellow Frisbee
Being flung into the sky
It is an orange ball
Floating in the vast sea.
It is a red burning clock
On a blue wall
It is a golden marble
Rolling on a dark blue table-
cloth.

What is...the Sun?
The sun is a round, orange
ball,
Hovering in the blue sky.
It is a bright golden ball,
Bouncing along the ocean.
It is a golden star,
Floating in the universe.
It is a fresh, juicy tomato,
Gleaming in the bright sky.
It is a red hot fireball,
Burning through space.
