MAP OF THE UNITED KINGDOM SHOWING THE VENUES AT WHICH
A.P.S. BOYS
HAVE ENJOYED COMPETING AT
NATIONAL OR REGIONAL EVENTS IN A WIDE VARIETY OF SPORTS
The map also shows the location of the numerous schools against which A.P.S, has competed. From
The Bucham
School
(Isle of Man) and
Rydal School
(Colwyn Bay) in the west of the country to
Magdalene House
(Cambridgeshire) and
Stamford
(Lincolnshire) in the east and from
George Watson’s
(Edinburgh) in the north
and
Millfield
(Somerset) and
Wellington College
(Berkshire) in the south, A.P.S. boys have competed across the
length and breadth of the country.
A.P.S. competes within the most competitive preparatory school circuit in the north, systematically challenging,
within our annual and termly fixture lists, the historic names of
Stonyhurst
,
Rossall, Sedbergh
and
Giggles-
wick
. Many regular competitions take us a little further afield to test our mettle against other I.A.P.S. schools.
This does not mean we neglect our local responsibilities as can be seen from our fixture lists and results.
Nonetheless, the breadth of competition and the opportunity for the boys to visit the renowned traditional
independent schools of our country brings a richness to our sporting lives and allows us to compete at highest stan-
dard and against the best found in the country.
