YEAR 6
November saw four Year 6 boys
attending the classics symposium
held at Bolton school. The day
was packed with fun activities. In
the morning the boys watched
and
participated in Greek Theatre be-
fore making their own ‘comedy’ or
‘tragedy’ theatre masks. They
went on to learn about the gods
and
The boys perform their Greek
tragedy.
During the afternoon the boys translated Ancient Greek and
finally experienced what it would be like to be a roman
soldier. They learnt about battle formations and tactics along
with trying on a Centurions helmet and body armour along
with holding a ‘Spatha’ (roman cavalry sword). All boys
commented on what a fantastic experience the day had been.
After working incredibly hard over the
Autumn term, the Year 6 boys enjoyed a visit to
Megabowl to enjoy a few games of ten pin
bowling. After a hard fought contest William
Lord was crowned Year 6 Kingpin with a score
of 138.
