YEAR 3
Under the rickety floorboards,
Busy rats are scrambling and squeaking.
Over the creaking floorboards,
People are having lamb chops for dinner.
Under the Thames Bridge,
Speed boats go thundering through.
Over the Thames Bridge,
Grey pigeons swoop and dive looking for
crumbs.
Under the crystal clear ocean,
Starfish are lying on the silky seabed.
Over the shimmering shiny ocean,
Cruise ships glide across the glimmering water.

Under the brown, wooden floorboards,
There are white mice and dripping pipes.
Over the creepy brown floorboards,
There is my beautiful clean room.
Under the green treetops,
There is a squirrel’s nest.
Over the lovely treetops,
There are wet birds nests.
Under the turquoise blue sea,
The Great White Shark is hunting.
Over the calm sea,
There are seagulls catching their prey.
Under the white clouds,
The grey smoke is rising.
Over the fluffy clouds,
The powerful rocket is lifting off.

Under the creepy scary floorboards,
There are some very small mice.
Over the creaking, loose dark floor-
boards,
There is a bat hanging on them.
Under the dark treetops,
There is a gnome’s house.
Over the creepy treetops,
There are birds flying in the lightning.
Under the rough crashing sea,
There is a shipwreck.
Over the dark sea,
There is a helicopter trying to hang on
flying in the rain.

Under the dusty floorboards,
Water flows silently through the shiny
pipes.
Over the wooden floorboards,
A furry cat sleeps curled on a soft mat.
Under the crystal clear ocean,
Grey sharks swish their powerful fins.
Over the rough ocean,
Seagulls swoop down to catch fish.

Year 3 have had yet another busy half term
with lots of English, Maths and History work in
books and adorning school. They enjoyed
Children in Need where we did ‘Spotty Smartie’
Maths and English.
Our straw angels cheer up the corridor.
George, Ben and Ethan show their Christmas
candles.
