WORLD MUSEUM in LIVERPOOL
April began with a trip to Liverpool to visit the
newly refurbished Planetarium at the World
Museum. As part of our work on Night Time
we watched a mind-blowing show about the
constellations. We also spent some time in the
Clore Natural History Centre to further our
knowledge and understanding of nocturnal
animals. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in the park
and had great fun watching the pigeons search
for any scraps of food we may leave. Of course
there were none! We also managed to squeeze
in seeing the Aquarium and the Bug House.
Masai
Our Geography topic on the Masai culminated in our designing and making our own shields. We learnt how
the Masai utilise what is naturally available to produce colours and though we had to use commercial paints
we did use twigs instead of brushes. We also learnt to jump high like Masai warriors!
