Goa update & thank you from Mrs Bacon
Dear Boys, Parents and Friends,
What a busy term you are having! I am really enjoying staying in touch with you all via our school website and Facebook. ‘Retirement’ is great fun and I seem to be busier than ever!
I am finally travelling to Goa on Saturday for five weeks and I can't wait to see how the new Dabolim School building is looking and how the fabulously big classrooms are being used.
If you remember last World Book Day, you bought an amazing number of bricks to help with the rebuild of the school. In April when I was last in Goa, there was still much to be done and the third floor was still under construction! There were bathrooms but no facilities; windows but no glass; classrooms but no power, desks or chalkboards! But after only a delay of about three weeks, the staff and children managed to get into their new building and the academic year could begin.
I shall send lots of photos so you can see the impact that your donations and continuing support have had as well as share how the FunFit fund raiser last Summer Term has helped in supporting maths in the pre primary classes. Mrs. Marchant has kindly said she will pop things on the school website so we can share the good news.
Do keep in touch with my travels through my school Twitter address @mrsbacongoa
In the meantime, enjoy this half term. I know it is a very busy one.
With all best wishes,
