Eight of our Year 6 boys were invited to represent the school in MiniMUNCH.
The name of this event, MiniMUNCH, takes its name from modelling itself on a mini Model United Nations (MUN) at Cheadle Hulme School (CH). The Model United Nations is an academic activity in which participants assume the role of national ambassadors or representatives of world countries to debate and seek to solve key global issues.
After the official Opening Ceremony, smaller debating sessions were led by Upper School/ Sixth Form Cheadle Hulme School students. During these, the boys were taught how the United Nations delegates would debate issues and how to make points for and against posed scenarios. The evening concluded with a mock crisis, in which all the deleagtes debated how to solve an imaginary world problem, with a final vote to determine whether the motion was carried. The Closing Ceremony saw some of our boys recieve certificates for their superb contribution to the event.
